First report on impact of extracellular α-synuclein on the glutamate metabolic profile and glutathione metabolism of astrocytes is published.
Our paper on the impact of monomeric and aggregated wild type and A30P/A53T double mutant α-synuclein on anti-oxidant mechanism and glutamate metabolic profile of cultured astrocytes was accepted for publication by the Journal of Neuroscience Research.
Roon and Kallolika joined as PhD scholars on 5 August 2021.
Pradnya completed her colloquium on 6 August 2021 and submitted her PhD thesis.
Sowmithra successfully defended her thesis and was awarded the Ph.D degree. She has joined Yale University as a post-doctoral research fellow.
Aishwarya Raj and Soham Jagtap were runners up in the international Fujio Cup Quiz on Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine (conducted in 4 stages), organized by NCRM NICHE, Tokyo, Japan.
Aishwarya Raj bagged first place in the Oral presentation (Flash Talk) at the Satellite Symposium for the Indian Academy of Neurosciences Annual Conference-2021 organised by the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata.
